Re-Entry Plan

Commonwealth SC and its Board of Directors has determined our current approach to re-entry into club activities based on guideline set forth by the CDC and state and local health agencies.  The safety of our players and families is paramount in all of our planning.  Below is a general breakdown of our re-entry plan for the upcoming Fall season.  We look forward to being back on the field as soon as its safe to do so!

  • Training will resume June 15th.  Training dates/times will be communicated the week before and added to Teamsnap.
  • Players and coaches will have the opportunity to return to their Spring teams to begin training activities under the new Return to Play Framework.  This phased in approach will also return approximately 6 weeks of training to our players prior to the official start of the Fall Season.
  • This approach is for the benefit of both players and coaches to ease back into club activities under the new guidelines without the pressure of a tryout or forming new teams immediately.
  • The timeline for training and the approach to training will be guided by the Return to Play Framework after submission and approval from the state government.
  • High School age players at Commonwealth SC will begin training for Commonwealth SC if that training is before high school training begins.
No Tryouts for Returning Players / Supplemental Tryouts for New Players
  • Due to players and coaches not having a full Spring season, and the uncertainty of the options for a full club tryout, there will not be tryouts similar to past seasons.
  • Returning players electing to return for the Fall season will automatically have a position within their age group based on their Spring teams. No tryout will be held for returning players.
  • There may be some player movement within age groups due to teams needing to fill positions on specific teams (i.e. teams moving from 9v9 to 11v11 or teams with fewer players returning).
  • Player movement within their age group for the Fall season will be at the discretion of Director of Coaching.
  • Supplemental tryouts, for new players wishing to join Commonwealth SC, will be held at a date to be determined.  These players should signup for supplemental tryouts at the following link to receive information as it becomes available.
